Scanner Problem

I click on Scanner icon on desktop--it say's no scanner found--Can I go to Add/Remove and remove the scanner and then insert my scanner cd and start over-
Thanks for your help --I've checked the cables---

Rummage, hi, sure, why not. Just go to ADD/REMOVE to un-install the scanner CD software, re-boot and then re-install the CD. As obvious as this sounds, please make sure the scanner power cord is plug in, before clicking on the scanner icon. The power cord not being plugged in has happened to me so many times, coz it's so dead obvious, we don't think about it and assume things are always plugged in. Take care!
