Myspace

I dont know who here is familliar with myspace but maybe someone can help out here. A young friend of mine recieved a comment on her page from another friend. The comment consists of the results of a quiz from another site. Normally if you want to delete a comment all you have to do is click edit all comments and it will allow you to delete the comments you choose to. This particular comment will not go away and its pushing all the other comments under it. I think its possible it has some sort of bug in it or something but can anyone tell us what to do to get rid of it?

I understand how it works, thanks lol

I had a similar situation with a video that was posted on my comments page. In my case, the Delete Comment button was switched around in a way that when i tried to delete the video (since it, too, was pushing other comments below it), it would actually delete a comment that I wasnt trying to delete.

The reason why knowing the profile would help is because you can select to View All Comments and then view the source code and determine what is going on.

what I am saying is on everyones myspace page there is a section where your friends can post comments to or about you on your profile page. If you want to remove a comment all you do is click on " Edit comments" and then when you do that the word delete comment appears on each one so that you may choose which comment you want to have removed. well someone went to a quiz site and took a quiz. Then they posted the results to that quiz in their my friends comment section. she has tryed to delete it but it will not be removed and when anyone posts a comment it is pushing the other comments under it so that it is always the first comment. Im wondering if there is not a bug or something they put in there to make it do that on purpose to advertise their site so more people will take their quizzes. It is causing problems with her page. I guess maybe I could tell her to contact the people from that site but I dont know that they would be willing to help her since removing that item from her page means that they would not have their advertisement there. I will try and see though. Thank you.

It sounds like somebody has put some clever CSS (or possibly Javascript) into the comment that was posted. I would tell her to email MySpace's support people. They will probably want to know about this so they can stop it happening.
