MS-DOS Korean

Hello,

I recently moved to South Korea and brought my Dell laptop with me. I downloaded a software package from the Microsoft Windowns Update website for reading and writing foreign fonts in Explorer and Word called Korean IME (Input Method Editor), but I have a program written in Perl that doesn't not recognize Korean fonts. Should IME, if properly set up, be able to read those fonts? Or do I have to get separate software for programs that work on MS-Dos?

Thanks,
