recentlyi bought a pc watt r d precautions should be taken before starting it?

if you have a surge protector you should use that, was it brand new, if so, it should be ready to go - is there anything in particular you are concerned with
if you have it plugged into an outlet that has a switch on the wall that controls that outlet, try and make sure not to flip the switch to off when computer is running
