What are some things that you can do to customize my workspace?

Can you please provide more on your question. I am confused and I think others are as well.

I'm assuming you are refering to the desktop. You can change the background and fonts and choose what icons to display and where.

if u wanna "customize ur workspace" ie. change desktop background screensavers etc then make sure ur on the desktop screen and right click >> properties.

just use the tabs at the top to select what u wanna change then if its say desktop just choose ur pic.

if by saying "customize my workspace" u mean something different u need to give a bit more details.
