cd-rom busy

hello,

when i try to install a program from a cd, and i keep getting a message:

"cd-rom drive is busy close all other programs and try again. (sometimes it help to eject the disc and reinsert it)"

uninstalling the drive does'nt help, updating is no good as well.

how do i solve this?

Might be time for a new cd rom. Do youknow anyone that has an old one laying around? Just to see if thats whats wrong?
