First its not a good idea to piggyback your psot on someone else's thread, especially when it has nothing to do with the other thread. So I moved your post to its own thread.

Try restoring your system to an earlier restore point before this started happening. If that doesn't work, what OS are you using?

I am not sure if it will solve your problem. But try.
Right click on the drive.
Click on open.
You may be able to open the drive.

You can either restore as Scott suggested or run XP install disc and repair your OS because it appears some files where deleted. If restoration works then make sure you that you an up-to-date anti-virus in place, if you don't have an anti-virus download AVG

The problem I think is of autorun.
