Cant duplicate hyperlink

In the past, if I copied a browser address into a Works document, the address would underline in blue and was clickable to open that browser address from within the Works document. For some reason, that is no longer valid. I can't think of any changes I've made to Firefox to alter this action. How do I get it back? WinXP Thanks

click tools, option, and select advanced tab and select ALWAYS UNDERLINE HYPERLINK and press ok. You can modify this in IE and Firefox. Any major browser should be similar to it.

BGH disagrees: Thank you littlebear91, but following directions = no such choice. Looked all through tools, no such option available. Thanks anyway.

Are you are using Word 2002 or 2003? They (by default) require you to press Ctrl while clicking in order to follow the link. If you have ScreenTips enabled (Tools | Options | View), you should see a ScreenTip. This new feature in these Word versions was intended to make it easier to edit the display text of hyperlinks. If you prefer to revert to the behavior of previous versions, clear the check box for “Use CTRL + Click to follow hyperlink” on the Edit tab of Tools | Options

How to activate hyperlink in M$ Works documents.

1) Open new M$ Works document. (not internet browser)
2) Tool Bar > Tools > Auto Correct > Options >
3) Check box to enable *Internet and network paths with hyperlinks*
