    Building A Custom PC
Hello, I am currently building a custom PC and I am on a 4500-5000ILS budget wich is about 1000$.
For the most part I did my research and I just want to double check with people who are more expirienced here if my components will work together.
Also my aim is a pretty over kill system because I am planning to keep it for a while and only a 1280x1024 monitor.

Case is either NZXT Phantom 410 or full tower, the 410 is smaller but I need a case which will fit my graphics card.
The motherboard will be a GA990XAUD3.
For the graphics card I am using a Sapphire HD 7950.
For ram it is G.Skill F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL.
For the CPU I want either the FX-8150 for it's 8 cores or Phenom II X4 965, which ever does better.
And for power I want the Seasonic 750W Gold X-Series X-750.
For the Hard drive I am going to using a 2TB WD20EARX.

My main concern is that things may not fit and I will waste even though I researched so I am hoping for a second opinion.

Also side note: I am aware the 7950 is a PCI epress 3 card and my motherboard is PCI e 2.0 but as far as I read it should work with no performance loss.

    Thank you.

No, I am using a fairly puny monitor so Crossfire isn't necessary.

Pickup the latest copy of Maximum PC and look in the back for the three PC builds they recommend, Budget (under $1000) Baseline (around $1000) and Performance (closer to $2000). In the December issue the Budget build uses gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H micro atx paired with an Intel Core i5 4430 for $765 that would spank your build. Usually they use AMD processors in their Budget Builds but this time they put together an Intel. The Intel processors are just better than AMD at this time, and although I support AMD too, I would build an Intel if I were going to do one tomorrow.
