Hello about two days ago my laptop Fell on the floor and sence then I get a Blue screen everytime I try and start up my computer, it usually restarted to fast to view the error message so after trying to use my Recovery CD supplyed by my computer company, it gave me abunch of error messages, so I put in my copy of windows XP and everytime It started up windows (this is booting from CD by the way) it gave me a blue screen error so after much frustration I took out the HD to see if I would get the same error, of course I didnt so I went out and bought a new hard drive thinking it would be an open and shut case, but upon installation of my new hard drive I got a new error message, "Boot Sector Virus: Continue" I hit N restarted my computer, but did not recived the message again then After I Windows had Loaded all the Files needed to Format and start the installation, I got another Blue screen, but this one had the General "Windows had to be shut down blah blah blah" but also at the end it had the following.

From what I read I might have to Flash My Bio's or Reset it, at least thats what I think I have to do, any help will most definetly Be welcome. Im hoping theres a way to salvage this.

Another thing to consider is the RAM. Having bad RAM will give you a lot of trouble during an OS install. It doesn't really matter what stage you in it can be completely random and very frustrating. Do you have any friends that have a similar laptop that has the same type of RAM? If so would you be able to borrow a stick of it for awhile and see if that solves you're problem.

One more thing. Flashing a BIOS is something you do only as a last resort. I highly doubt it's your BIOS thats toast because all that happened was physical damage. I suppose that it is possible though in which case make sure you laptop does not get shut down at any part of the BIOS flash or you could be worse off than you already are.
