Active activation

When trying to access the internet I am receivin the following message
"The requested lookup key was not found in any active activation context"

What does this mean and how to I overcome this issue?:

Google search!

There are lots of references to this problem, it could be caused by several things.
If you have no luck fixing it, downgrade to Internet Explorer 6 or use Firefox.
