You can get "book" prices here but the reality is that they're only worth what someone will pay for them.

The method I use is to find them for sale on eBay then put them on my watch list and see what they sell for.

Remember too that the condition is crucial.

IM going to ask a few question that you did not include, in your Question. Now to begain-( look on reverse, the back side ) ,right above the "D" OF "DOLLAR" you may see a mint mark) IF mint marked ,it will be (NO" Mark, IT will be from (philadelphia mint< "d"- is Denver> < "S",SAN FRANCISCO <"O" is the old < NEW ORLENS MINT<, " CC" is the CARSON CITY mint ) Does the have a very shiney ,reflective Surface? , is the designs on both sides Date ,mint mark , in good shape?, IS coin in prety good shape? this is hard to tell without seeing it, .Give me what I've asked and i will give as close as I can Ok NOTE) if you have a coin shop, libery,> they can maybe ans. your question,Also there are ( COIN GRADING CO> YOU can send the coin to, they will grade it ,tell you worth of the coin. If you look in coin book they addv. in the coin books. You can buy a book at walmart where other books are at,or at books a million ect. Rickj- I checked out what you had on you last quate , and compared to what my book says on condition of a coin. I do agre with you on the value of a coin or paper money (IT IS ONLY AS VALUEABLE AS THE PERSON THAT WANTS IT< MOST OF THE TIME THEY DONT PAY A NY ATTENTION TO WHAT THE BOOK SAYS> I TRY TO BUT SOMETIMES IT'S HARD TO DO) AT A ACTION just recently I JUST missed a 1800 silver dollar that went for $100.00 , in au-50 , condition, book value is ( $7500.00) I know that that guy would have never got it that cheap::::: F.B.E.
