I have a 1885 silver dollar how much is it worth?

You can get "book" prices here but the reality is that they're only worth what someone will pay for them.

The method I use is to find them for sale on eBay then put them on my watch list and see what they sell for.

Remember too that the condition is crucial.

If you look in coin book they addv. in the coin books. You can buy a book at walmart where other books are at,or at books a million ect. Rickj- I checked out what you had on you last quate , and compared to what my book says on condition of a coin. I do agre with you on the value of a coin or paper money (IT IS ONLY AS VALUEABLE AS THE PERSON THAT WANTS IT< MOST OF THE TIME THEY DONT PAY A NY ATTENTION TO WHAT THE BOOK SAYS> I TRY TO BUT SOMETIMES IT'S HARD TO DO) AT A ACTION just recently I JUST missed a 1800 silver dollar that went for $100.00 , in au-50 , condition, book value is ( $7500.00) I know that that guy would have never got it that cheap::::: F.B.E.
