Antique Airguide Marine Clock

I have an old marine Airguide clock. On the face it says, "7 jewels/8 day." What is the proper procedure for winding it? It works, and I have wound it a dozen revolutions or so, but I am wondering how many winding revolutions is appropriate. I have done several searches for information about old Airguide marine clocks, but nothing turns up in the way of a winding procedure, or an operating manual. I don't want to overwind it and break something. Thanks.

I'm glad that you are careful not to overwind it! This may be something that a jeweler might need to look at, though. It might need some cleaning and/or routine maintenance done that a professional needs to do who has the proper tools and oils, etc.

Does your clock look like any of those that you might find on the pages of the following search?
