Misprinted dollar bill?

Do the front of the bill and the back have to line up?? The bill I have is offset when viewed up to the light. Is this common?? Ace

It may be a misprint, if so, depending on how many were misprinted on that run, it could have value.

The fronts and backs of bills don't have to line up with each other as far as the designs being the same size. However, they should fit proportionally evenly with the design on the other side. If you are saying that yours is offset, it would be helpful to know more of what you mean about that. What also, is the year that is printed on the front of the bill? Have you compared the bill to any others that have the same year on them? Thanks!
