I have a october morn signed by robert wood and 56 on it ...there's no brass plate...I looked at his signed robert wood up of october morn and it is the same as my picture...how can I find out if its real? Which I think is...

I would say pawn shop but they rip you off

Call or visit the reference desk at your local library or even at a college/university library in your area. They will have an antiques and collectible description/price guides plus books on how to locate dealers whom you can call to ask about the authenticity and value.
