oxygen sensor problem

I hope I have the right topic forum! I have a 1991 Honda Accord that I tinker with from time to time. I have replaced the engine and repainted the car and done some othe things to restore the car to its original performance. I have noticed that recently it has started to use more gas than normal. I think I am getting about 16 miles to the gallon rather than the 24 miles that I once was getting. The Honda is a 2.2 ltr Ex edition. I think it may be an oxygen sensor, but I wanted to other ideas. Can anyone help?

Keith
