this may not be the right catigory

I smoke cigarettes, and have occasionally partaken in the 'wacky tabacky' and have briefly experemented with other sorts of drugs. and none of them effect me in the same way as they do others. it either takes more of the substance to work or it just has no effect. the same is true for caffine an other such things. is there an explination for this?
