    We Rest upon Christ. Why?
I believe and trust this say it all. We rest upon Christ the Rock of our salvation.

    Col 1:23-29
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and [be] not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, [and] which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister; Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; Even] the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: Even] the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.18 And He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all [things] he might have the preeminence.

What is the foundation that was laid upon the Rock? Who formed each that is called to be a servant?

The head of the church is Christ:

    Eph 5:23-24
23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
    NKJV

And the foundation upon which is rests is Christ:

    1 Cor 3:11-12
11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
    NKJV

    As Paul put it:

    1 Cor 2:1-3
2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
    NKJV

It is Him who formed us, it is Him who saved us.

Yes I agree and believe as well that every man is under Christ who is the Head.
1 Corinthains 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

I agree, and add by saying that Christ laid the foundation of the world from the beginning .. What then are we to base the foundation upon the calling of God, and belief in the begotten Son of God.. Christ is power and strength over all without a doubt. Scripture says the foundation is built upon a rock. That Rock is Christ our saviour and redeemer. The Rock is our Salvation which the foundation is built upon.
    .
Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

Yes I agree.. Everything is build upon His strength and power that streches from heaven and builds the foundation of the world, and also to each man that is called to be within Him. It all rest upon Christ...

Zec 12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

Isa 43:7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

To be made a minister, who? According to the dispensation of God? To fulfil the word of God?

So the foundation that was Christian fellowship does rest upon the 3 listed. The servant that ministered, the management according to what God gives to the minister, and that it all fulfils "The Word".. known to us all as Christ.

And Tj3 the scripture you have noted says no other foundation can be laid.. So if someone is trying to minister something other then The Word, this would not be according to God's dispensation?

    We rest upon Christ, Why?

It is the sabbath which is our day of rest. Yet Christ was more then one day of rest, because we rest upon Him daily.

Paul's ministery did rest upon Christ... quote from within Col 1:23-29 says.. Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God

The Word of God is the flesh that walked this earth to show us the Way... His Way .. Christ Jesus

Any other way upon this earth is satan's way = 666 ...

The foundation that was laid upon the Rock is Jesus Christ! As simple as that! Evrything concerning the Rock and its servants is, therefore, dut to and a consequence of Jesus Christ, i.e. GOD
