Yes, if your text book is saying there are two types, then it is written from some denominations view point and not a fully accepted view point.

I say this, since from the way the question is asked as if you expected the answer to be two specific forms.
If that is it, basicly it would be Catholic and Protestant, but that is not really true since they are both Christian and have divisions within them,

Many protestants are very closely related to the Catholics, and then it leaves the Orthodox completely out, unless you throw them in with the Catholic church

There are more groups who claim to be Christians, but who´s beliefs differ from the earlier stated qualifications.
For instance Mormons are a separate group within Christianity. There are many more of such groups.

There are many denominations in the religion ,Christianity.I am only giving information on
one right now .It is called the seventh day Adventist church. It started out in the millerite movement which used bible symbols to indicate that God was coming in the year 1844 but he never came this was callad the great dissapointment. But there were a few that went back to study and discovered that the calculations were accurate but the event that it was referring to was wrong they came up with another belief that it was at this moment that the lord would go into the heavenly sanctuary which commenced the judgement of mankind. They continued and started the world reknowed health message and the seventh day belief belief. This Church is well organized and has a great world message.
