Clough this is a prime example of a lifted keep:

How big of a lift were you looking at? What kind of tires?

Ha you guys are funny. I was thinking of a 2 inch lift. I have absolutely no idea what "kind" of tires but definitely bigger. I guess that's why I'm asking because I'm a 100% beginner at this stuff.

I'm sure a 2 inch lift IS possible.

Are you going to put the kit on yourself or will you go to an expert?

How much money do you have to put into this- it WILL be costly.

I got a lift kit, 7 inches, for my jeep and it cost me nearly a grand-- and that was a deal!

I got 35" boggers for my jeep as well and they were 700$ and that was a deal as well.

I also ended up getting two inch spacers which were $100 so I got a good deal on that too.

I found good deals by looking on craigslist, kijiji, and just googling.

Are you going to be going in the water? You'll need a snorkel for that.

To pick what kind of tires you'd like I suggest you read this:

Good luck to you. It WILL be a fun project ;)

If your going to a pro I suggest looking around. Ask people whom are into mudding where they got theirs done.

Some places will supply the parts for you but it could cost around $4000 to do that.

I would also go to an expert and get sort of an estimate--- just shop around.

Good luck. Keep me posted :)

My Jeep Liberty is making a 'boom' noise while driving [ 1 Answers ]

My Jeep Liberty starting making the same type of 'boom' noise it makes when you try to make a sharp turn in 4-wheel drive, but it's not in 4-wheel, & it happens even when driving straight. The noise/bump feeling is not loud, but I don't want to drive it. Any ideas before I take it to a mechanic?
