Sex Before Marriage

Hi, i'm curious when i overheard that couples that had sex before marriage shall not have thier marriage conducted in a church? How about one is a virgin and the other one is not?

People having premarital sex have been married in many churches, even Catholic.

The same will apply to while one is still a virgin and one is not.

I did not know it was customary practice to delve into the sexual past of the bride and groom. Not in my church it isn't anyway.

Never heard that one before and I've been to all kinds of denominational churches and even some cults. Next thing will maybe be we can't come to Christ for forgiveness till we clean up our act and then he'll forgive us the sins we couldn't take care of ourselves...NOT. We are all sinners in need of a Saviour. Getting married in the church isn't salvation but it is a step in the right direction rather than a step in the wrong.

There are of course some pastors ( I know some in the penticostal areas) that may refuse to marry a couple who are living together since they are "living in sin" and may require them to live apart and ask forgiveness before they would marry them, but this is not as common But I don't know of any denomination, just a few pastors.

Many, many may require one person to be married to be a member of thier denomination or even of thier church.

Many on the other hand are like myself and will marry any couple who ask them.

Scripture says if they can not contain themselves, which mean to be self-controlled they should marry.

1 Cr 7:6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment. KJV

1 Cr 7:8-9 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

1 Cr 7:28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.
