Anglican Church/Church of England questions

I am trying to collect some info on women of the Anglican church (19th century.) I'm working on a creative writing piece and would like to include an Abess, if that is the correct term. Surfing around I have found quite a few Abesses to research but mostly from the 1600s.

I have a few basic questions I would appreciate any input on.

Is there the equivalent to a Catholic nun in the Anglican church and is that person what is referred to as Abess? By equivalent I mean someone who has taken vows to serve God and church and lives celibate.

How would she be addressed? Would she assume a Saints name or keep her own?

Thanks a lot.
