Are Jesus and God the same?

I have learned that Jesus is God's son but I have also seen where people talk about God and Jesus as if they were the same person. Does it depend on the religion?

One simply can't be taken seriously in what he says if he's already admitted to be being closed-minded and biased against what the other is saying.

You've refuted nothing.

John 1:1 - Jesus was with God in heaven. Jesus is NOT God himself.
You contradict yourself. You claim that this says that Jesus was "a god" (despite the fact that the original Greek disagrees with you), and yet you say that Is 44:8 which says that there is one God is right. Well, then I need to ask, if there is only one true God, then is Jesus the true God, or a false god?

Quote:
Isaiah 48:16-17 - You see that the Sovereign Lord Jehovah sent him. Jehovah, as a superior being sent his subordinate Son. In no way does it lend notion to the ridiculous idea of Jesus being God.
Really. You should look at the Hebrew text.

Isa 48:17
17 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer,
NKJV

The word "LORD" in Hebrew is YHWH or Jehovah (using the English transliteration), thus Jesus is calling Himself "Jehovah your Redeemer".

Quote:
Hebrews 1:1, 2 - "God, who long ago spoke on many occasions and in many ways to our forefathers by means of the prophets, has at the end of these days spoken to us by means of a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the systems of things." - God, a superior and separate being, appointed his subordinate Son to a position of authority, a position Jesus did not have before. God never calls Jesus God.
Why did you not go on to deal with the specific passage:

Heb 1:8
8 But to the Son He says:
"Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
NKJV

Quote:
Isaiah 44:8 - Yes, there is only one God. But Isaiah 44:6 shows that it is Jehovah God speaking and not Jesus. The verses in no way mention or speak of Jesus. (verse 6) "This is what Jehovah has said, the King of Israel and the Repurchaser of him, Jehovah of armies, 'I am the first and I am the last, and besdies me there is no God.' (verse 8, in part) "Does there exist a God besides me? No, there is no Rock."
As I showed in Is 48:16-17, Jesus is called Jehovah God.

Quote:
Matthew 3:16, 17 continues to expose the ridiculousness of the blasphemous teaching of the trinity. God himself speaks at Jesus' baptism. According to the absurd trinity doctrine, God is here calling himself the Son? And then turns around and says that he's approved himself? It's amazing how many people are willingly blinded by Satanic false teachings like the trinity.
You are demonstrating that you do not even understand what the Biblical doctrine of the trinity says. One God, three persons.

The Father:

1 Peter 1:1-2
1:1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To the pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 2 elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ:
NKJV

The Son:

John 20:28-29
28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!" 29 Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
NKJV

The Holy Spirit:

Acts 5:3-4
3 But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? 4 While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God."
NKJV

And yet, the Bible tells us that there is only one God:

Isa 44:8
You are My witnesses.
Is there a God besides Me?
Indeed there is no other Rock;
I know not one.'"
NKJV

That, in its essence is the Trinity.

Again, the fact remains, there is NO trinity and it is NOT a Bible doctrine. You try and push a false, man-concocted doctrine and then twist and turn scriptures to try and support it instead of just going with what the Bible actually says.

You can't win out over the clear-cut teachings of the Bible. I don't know why you continue to try. You're clearly in the wrong.
