You merely ask, but remember often our wishes are not what is best for us, We have to be praying what is right, and what is good and it can not be something that goes against God's word.

You also must remember that your "wishes" may not come immediately when you ask for them or they may come in a different form that what you expect.

I guess you are young.

As you grow up you will learn skills and information and all kinds of stuff over the years. Hopefully, you have older and wiser people to guide you into developing all the areas of a healthy person's life----education, sports, hobbies, friends, good ethics.

God isn't a Fairy Godfather sitting up in heaven, beatifically waiting to hear our prayers and wishes so that He can "make them come true."

Pray your request prayers and center yourself, but remember that God has given you a brain, arms, legs, hands, fingers so you can figure out and do what you need to do to make your wishes come true. "The Lord helps those who help themselves."

Oh, and don't forget to thank Him.

Often we do not receive what we ask because our motives are to get what it is to give ourselves pleasure. Just as any parent would be wrong to give something to a child which would not be good for them simply to make them happy, God does what is in our best interests when He denies somethuing that we want, when it would not be in our best interests.
