Elders rights

Good Day

Can anybody know where I can find some e-books or do you
know how we as elders in the church can protect us against
extinction. And where we stand in the church.

What rights do you think an elder has? There is generally speaking in the churches bylaws spelled out the exact duties and obligations of an elder. Some churches use the elders for spiritual guidance, some for financial guidance. You first need to get your churches bylaws, and then read and understand them.

what do you mean protect against extinction? If your Church is ruled by elders is there a movement to change the nature of your administration? The position of the elders is governed by the constitution and rules of the Church. The Idea of Elders is an Old Testament idea and 140 reference to Elders in the Scripture refer to the Jewish system of government. If you want to understand the New Testament idea of Elders start in Timothy but I note references frequently speak of Apostles and Elders with the inference that Elders do not act alone in oversight

josuac,
It would help if we knew what church you are an elder in.
What is expected of elders differs for one denomination to another.
Peace and kindness,
Fred

Read 1 Peter 5 and James 5.
It tells some about elders.

the fact is, that as Christians we will be attacked for our faith, and only the power of Christ will keep all of Christianity from being destroyed.
