I have been baffled and troubled by this simple oversight since I took Spanish class in the 7th grade. The word in Spanish for saturday "Sabados" translates literally to "Sabbath Day."
What troubles me, is when I look at a calendar...any calendar with the entire week listed.
Here is what the fourth commandment says...in my Bible
4 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
What day on your calendar is the seventh?
Why did God tell us to remember the Sabbath day?
Do you think He thought we might forget?
Do you think I just think too deeply about silly things?
Did we lose a day somewhere?
Why do we as Christians worship on Sunday, and not SABADOS?
Monday 1, tuesday 2, wed. 3, thurs 4 , friday 5, saturday 6, sunday 7...because its the day you go to church...I'm not a christian so I don't really believe in god but I'm assuming if he is your god he didn't forget about you. No we did not lose a day..there are 7 days in a week just like there has always been for as long as I have been alive..Sabaods is sunday...
See, I have asked that question to my Pastor as well.
That is the same answer he gave me.
It only confuses me further. I truly believe in Jesus...I have studied my Bible.
Thoroughly combed it over and over again trying to find an answe to that question.
That has been twenty years ago. I don't see anywhere in there where he said believe in me, and you don't need to keep my commandments. But a lot of christians will say to that that Jesus came to relieve us of the jewish law. That I don't argue with...no need for "kosher" foods etc...etc.... And the Sabbath, to me, is linked in with those by some. I feel that is a mistake. The Sabbath was one of God's laws. Not the laws of man, which is what Jesus came to relieve us from.
I believe that even in the love of Jesus' sacrifice, he Remembered the Sabbath. Any christian preacher will tell you that he died on Friday....was dead (resting)Saturday, then rose on Sunday. I wish someone could point out to me the facts of the matter. Un arguable, undeniable truth, that I should keep Sunday holy. Maybe I missed somewhere where God froze time for a day?
I haven't thought about this for a while, but a question in another thread Has brought it back to my mind.
Ok so I'm still a virgin(by choice)
And I was always raised to believe that you should stay that way till I get maried!
I still believe that but here's the thing....

So, yeah after ignoring the phone calls from my ex of 4 years (2 months broken up) this weekend, he called again last night and succumbed (curiosity killed the cat) and answered.
So basically, he was just asking how I'm doing, what's new, he misses me a lot, thinks about me all the time, he...
My husband recently got a notice of Garnishment for our bank account for a repossession of a car. If he was to file Chap 7 alone, could we lose our current car? I was also on the re-possed car as co-owner but I am not on this one. I am also on disability, so they can not garnish my disability...
