Will my son bond with me at 2.5 years old?

I've not seen my son since last Xmas , the last memory I have was throwing him in the air and he was laughing before I had to leave . I'm worried he won't take to me as my ex is with someone else now and has said he is bringing him up as he's own . I've got the chance to see him next weekend with the lovely company of the ex ! I can't be dealing with her but to see him I have to . Shes very temperamental and has split personalitys. I just dont want it to end in tears like it always has done .

Actually no you don't have to deal with her at all. If you prove this in court, get your court visits to meet a some safe location, such as police or fire department, don't visit with her, just exchange child.

If you will do visit and stay part of the childs life, not in and out, yes the child will bond with you.
