Signing over parental rights in pa?
I am currently paying child support for 2 children in the state of Pa, in the amount of $500.00 a month. The children are the ages 16 and 17. I have not seen them in like 10 years, also their mother has remarried. I have joint custody of the children but they do not want anything to do with me. Now all of a sudden their mother (my ex-wife) want an increase in child support. The increase will have me paying $815.00 a month. I do not mind paying child support to my children but the amount that I am ordered to pay is ridiculus. My take home pay from my job is $500.00 a week. And now with the child support order that is in place I will not be able to afford my rent or car payment. I have 2 other children from another relationship that I am supporting also. What am I to do? I have seriously thought about signing over my parental rights to her and her husband. Would that make me a bad dad to do something like that?

You don't just "sign over parent rights" to a child. They aren't a car, or a pet.

The only way parental rights can be terminated is via a court decision. Perhaps what you really want to ask is how they can legally adopt your child.
