There is this guy who really likes me but I don't like him. He has been a really good friend since 2nd grade. I think its weird to date a guy that you are best friends with (MY OPINION). He has asked me out like 8 times and I have said no. now my best friend is just friends with him. He text her sometimes and asked her "hey to u think she(me) will go out with me? i usually wen he is txt her that stuff IM WITH HER! he said that he is planning to call me and tell me all the great things about me and say "I like you for u. I love your smile and the way you laugh." how should I say no but being gentle because he is my friend? Help me

Tricky situation but you could try telling him what you wrote here that he's a really good friend to you he means a lot and tell him that being in a relationship would ruin your frenship I don't know goood luck!! Sorry can't help much

This guy sounds like he really does like you! But if you have nooo feeling for him what so ever, when he rings if he does say stuff like that just say thank you but I really don't want this to go any where, I just want to be friends is that OK? And see where it goes from there :) xxx

I find, "I'm sorry but I don't think it's a good idea to date" a best friend, a friend's relative, whatever the relationship is, always works. Nobody's feelings get hurt and it ends there.
