I have three teenage children. I hope I can word this right for you to understand. Two children has the same father, but one of then have my last name. The other one has a different father but has the last name of the other two father. I want to have their last name changed to my last name. What do I need to do? Their father name is not on the birth certifcate at all. Do I need his permission to chnge their last name since he is not on the birth certificate? Please help me with this situation. Thanks.

i too was in a similar situation and yes you and the father have to sign the papers that he do agree of the name change the father of my kids agreed and signed the papers and the process only took one hour and the birth cert. was changed and given to us that day so therefore just get the father to agree and from there the process should be easy
