    Do you have to pay child support in Illinois if you start receiving ssi after your child is born. The child was born in 1991 and I started receiving ssi in 1994

    Yes! However, I read somewhere that if you request a hearing and get approved, that ssi will also cut a separate check for childsupport from taxpayers money
