| If you think he may be cold, try using an extra light layer of clothing instead of the blanket. Perhaps an undershirt or onesie under his pajamas.
Is he doing anything different lately? Sometimes when babies are learning a new skill they will wake more. You could try having a few toys in his bed after he has fallen asleep, so that when he wakes he may play a bit on his own and fall back asleep. If this becomes even more of a reason for him to stay up, keep toys out of his crib.
Since he is in the same room, is moving him to his own an option? Sometimes you will wake up just because he is up and making noise, but he may go back to sleep if he doesn't see you there and if you let him stir and make noise for awhile without going to get him.
There is not one way to get a baby to sleep, hence all of the books on the topic. Sometimes it is just trying something for several nights to see if it works with your child. |
