I am currently 4 months pregnant and the father of the baby denies that the baby is his. i want to put his name on the birth certificate is that possible even though he wont sign the b/c at time of birth?

I think you can put his name as a possible parent and then have a paternity test after the baby is born.

why would you even want someone so hateful in your life or your childs life? and if its because of child support than he doesn't have to be on the bc . you can get legal aid if you can not afford it and they will make him take a paternity test and set up child support and visitation . even if he choses not to see the child he will still have to pay

why is that hateful fatnsassy??

You can leave the name off and then go after him for DNA tests and child support later.

I am a father and have been up and down the Family Legal System. To the best of my knowledge the following would be the process for establishing the father as paternal father.
If he refuses or is absent at the time of birth you must not list father, or father is marked as unknown. If you then want the father to be on the Birth Cert you must go to court and file for child rights and/or child support, if he is denying and he needs to be responsible, which will lead him to getting a paternity test. If he is found to be the father you can then have him added. If he does not deny the child is his, then you can just have him sign the document later after you have had the test done to determine he is the father.

I hope I have helped in someway. If I am mistaken in any way I do apologize. I also live in Washington, in King County.

Always,

Kenny
