Does anyone else have anything to add to the 39 year old daughter story? I am copying and pasting so that the mother can see some other opinions besides mine. There is more. Like her daughter sticking her foot in her mom's door to get her to sign something and not leaving until she did, her daughter calling her mother's voice mail message pathetic and that her mom was pathetic as well. Her mom put some traditional fiddle music on and was speaking her message in french, Cree and english. It was great, it made me smile. Her daughter was embarassed and told her mom to take it off because someone might hear it from the school district where they both work. As I said, her daughter is a school counselor for the elementary students and the mother is a Metis Canadian Elder who teachers the Metis children about their culture which is a mixture of French and Cree Indian ancestry. It's a beautiful culture of a mixture of French, Scottish and Cree traditions. Fiddle music and step dancing is our traditional dance known as the Red River Jig. So, that's the music that was playing on the voice mail. She is ashamed of her Cree heritage I know it. How can mom live what she has left in her life by setting boundaries with these daughters that leave her feeling bad about herself. More answers would help so I can show answers of people who are objective. I saw her daughter the other day and she was coming out of the elementary school with her little briefcase, I quickly grabbed a newspaper so that I could pretend I was reading it in case she waved or something. I really don't think I would have needed to do that anyway, I don't think she would've and then if she did would it have been genuine??? Let's help the Mom live the rest of her days without having to try and try please these self-centered, spoiled, disrespectful daughters.
