    What can I do to make her stop that?
    My daughter is now 12.She eats her nails all the time.I tried all my to make her stop.Every time she promises me to stop eating them but she keeps doing this bad habit .What do you advise me to do to make her stop eating her nails?

    Well I think you should put her plastic nails like women do and then she can't eat that ?

    Get her a stress ball that she squeezes or something to replace the nail biting habit.

    Give her an incentive,If you stop I will take you somewhere special.Maybe a nail salon and have them explain the dangers of nail biting.

    I had a friend who used to have her nails beds become infected with pus.She had to have them drained with a needle.Not a happy thing.

    Educate and encourage her to find another use for her hands.Even if she plays with a piece of yarn,anything is better than the nails.

    My eldest son was a picker,always picking little red marks or anything,pimples,ingrown hairs.It is a stress release.

    He made a rubber band ball.You just buy a pack of rubber bands and begin a ball.I am sure there are instructions on line.

    Lol. Honestly nail biting is not a huge deal. She's not hurting anyone or breaking the law. I would suggest taking a step back. School is hard enough, she doesn't need you making her feel bad over something so petty.

    I have the same bad habit. I don't even realize I was doing it. I'm 15 now and I kind of grow out of it, when I do bit my nails is cause I'm worried or nervouse... or have nothing better to do so just let her grow out of it :)
