I'm 26 and I'm 15 lbs underweight. I eat like a horse and I barely gain anything. Try exercising and build some muscle mass. I also suggest you get into cooking with your mom and cook your favorite foods. It'll be healthy and hearty!

chill, I'm 14 almost 15 (male), a 9th grader. I'm 5foot 1 or 5foot 2 and weigh 84lbs and eat a few full bags of potato chips, steak, salmon, anything to get a lil more pound or grow a little (also not to point out but i play soccer about everyday and that doesn't help[they say exercise stunts your growth rate almost like coffee so don't drink that]), and I'm not succeeding. Also girls are supposed to be smaller/ lighter than guys so don't think u have to be as fat as the guy next to you to be excepted.

You need to relax. Underweight by 6 pounds is not at all worrying. You continue eating and being yourself, but do not focus on the exact number. Everybody is built differently, everybody has a different metabolism. What you are at is your normal.

Vedrana, don't push your weight. You are very young and not all people are meant to be the weight that the charts say that you should be. Those are a basic guideline. I am 27 years old and I am very tiny and I always have been. Don't let others get you down and don't let it hold you back. Kids that tease you now will be in tears later because you can eat that ice cream and they can't! Enjoy your metabolism.

Right!!! First of all, would you rather be obese or underweight? It is much healthier to be underweight!!!! Anyway, you are not that underweight. Try eating high protein foods such as pasta, fish, potatoes etc.
Best Wishes
