My son eats crayons is this dangerous

My sons teacher keeps informing me that he is eating his crayons at school, but he only does this at school I have never seen him do this. Is this harmful and should I inform the Dr. Of what he is doing. I ask him why he does not reply? Is he doing this for attention or does it mean something else.

It might just be a nervous habit, or it could be for attention. My daughter used to do this as well, I finally gave up and bought her felt markers. She stuck those in her mouth too, but quickly took them back out. Apparently crayons taste better.

Have you tried pencil crayons? Perhaps ask his teacher if you can switch to pencil crayones, they're not as easy or tasty to eat.
