    Soiling 12 year old girl
This is my second question regarding "Soiling". I was pleased to get info regarding this "not spoken issue" a last month. J_9 and Greg were great help.
Now my situation is this, it happened again, and now I want to talk as well as educate my step-daughter in what to look for. Right now, I am sure she is not sure why it is happening. My intention is to be as kind and compassionate when we talk, but I want to know should I read her some of the information I was passed on through this site -links that were provided, to let her know she is not alone? I will scan it for less "scary" info of course. It certainly made me feel better as I passed this info. To my husband and to let him know that physically she needs to be "retrained".

    Thank you :)

The mind can do some incredibly odd things to people physically. I'm curious, is there a new baby around? Or is the young one simply seeking some nurturing? Young teenager can subconsciously regress if a new baby comes on the scene... they merely want to be treated like a baby. They are hungry for love and attention and will do whatever they have to get it. Remain calm, reassure her that it is OK and that things will get better. Lots of reassurance, along with love and hugs.
