Is it likely a 16 year old could have Brain Cancer? What age group does is likely?
I'm 16, but I pretty much NEVER use a cell phone. I am a Hypochondriac, so I worry about my health a lot. Now I'm worried about brain cancer. I know that cancer can occur at any age, but certain types of cancer usually only strike the older. I tried looking on Google but I didn't find any thing about the age group at risk. So is 16 too young for brain cancer?

No age group is "too young" does your family have a history of cancer ?

And if you want to be a hypochondriac there are a 1000 or 1000's of more likely things than this

When I say too young, I mean is it likely or not likely I a 16 year old could get brain cancer? I heard it's a rare cancer, and usually occurs in the age group of 45-65+.

Don't worry about brain tumors. ("The average age of diagnosis for brain tumors is 57, and about 90% of primary brain tumors occur in adults.") Instead, worry about diabetes. Diabetes is much more common than it used to be in young people, especially nowadays with the obesity problem.

The brutal truth is it's never too young for cancer. I donate to the Jimmy Fund whenever I can, and Jimmy had cancer at 12.

On a lighter note, to help prevent cancer you could add foods to your diet that promote anti-angiogenisis, like tomatoes, garlic, onions.. . Pretty much any vegetable and fruit you can think of.

Tumors, of all types of cancer, grow and spread because blood vessels supply them with nutrients, anti-angiogensis inhibits the growth of these vessels, and therefore, the tumor.

I strongly believe diet has everything to do with your health, including complicated health issues like cancer.

    EDIT
I just saw your most recent post. Well, without doing ANY research, from what I remember, brain cancer in young folks is rare mostly because cancer needs time to develop, like years. Still, just 'cause statistics and facts I made up say it's rare, it's still a possibility, and it is really easy to take precautions against that and other diseases by changing your diet. Cancer scares the hell out of me.

    Hello I:

If you're fearful of putting the device up to your ear, use and ear bud and keep it in your pocket. Use hands free in your car too, and you'll live to be a ripe old age. You won't miss any phone calls either.

Brain Injury and the fear of falling down should be a large worry, or even worst the injury from a car wreck, the fear of getting into a auto should terrify you if you are worried about something
