is it possible i am pregnant?

Hi

i am 16 years old, and i had sex about a month ago. I had sex the day after i finished my period, and we used a condomn. Could i be pregnant? My period is running a few days late, but it isnt normally on target. Is it likely I am?!

Thanks

It is possible, but it is unlikely.

You used a condom which is a very reliable method of birth control when used properly, and you were not at the most fertile time in your cycle.

Could it have happened? Yes, but the chances are extremely low. I wouldn't worry about it or lose any sleep over it right now. It is probably nothing.

Wait a few more days and get a pregnancy test. If it comes back negative (which it probably will), consider going to see your doctor and getting on the pill or the patch. That way you will be using TWO forms of protection so you will have a back up. It'll prevent you from having a scare like this again in the future. (Just make sure you continue to use condoms too to protect you from diseases!)

Good luck and try not to worry too much!!!
