Two periods, two days apart!

I've gotton my period once already (last week). It was a normal seven day period. Two days went by, and I got another period but it was much heavier than normal. After the first period, I had sexual intercourse (WITH protection) and I was wondering if that threw my menstral cycle off somehow or if I could possibly be pregnant?? please help me out!

Thanks

Keep in mind that sex, protected or not, can result in pregnancy. Due to the fact that you are experiencing two periods I don't think you are pregnant. You sound like you are facing some irregularity which is normal for teens but since there was so much bleeding involved, it would be best that you make an appointment with your doctor to figure out what is going on. It could also be something called metrorrhagia which is uterine bleeding at irregular intervals, particularly between the expected menstrual periods. I'm not so sure of this though. Having sex should not have thrown you cycle off to the point of bleeding heavily for a full week. See you doctor!
