    Lump
    Hi, Samtheman,
It's not very likely that you will get any type of sexual diseases, without having sex.
But, the lump could be from "oily" glands, or skin, or might be something else.
If it doesn't go away in a couple of weeks, I would definitely see a doctor. Find out what it is, so you will have a peace of mind about it. I doubt if it is anything serious, but it is always better to have it checked out.

Yes, during birth, a lot of things get passed on...
It's unfortunate, but there are some diseases that are passed on the babies during birth. For instance, if a mother has herpes, and she is having a 'flare' of this while giving birth to the baby, the baby will first show signs by having what they call 'thrush' shortly after birth (usually revealed by a yellowish coating on the tongue and inner mouth, and they need antibiotics). This condition could rest for years and suddenly flare up in the child, and some might think it's just cysts, or painful pimples when they flare. Only a doctor can tell you what the problem is, so please get yourself checked out. This is the golden rule - when in doubt, see a doctor.

You can also check out STDs, symptoms and ways of transmittal on several sites on the internet, but they do not take the place of a visit to the doctor - so that's your first step. Good Luck, and please keep us posted.

Take care of your body - it's the only one you've got!
