    I'm really scared!
    I am 17, and I am supposed to get my period about now.

    I have never had sexual intercourse, so there is no way I can be pregnant.
    However, I have been having cramps and such, but I have now "flow phase".

    Is this normal?

    It is normal to miss a period once in a while especially when your body is developing.

    You don't believe you are pregnant, so just relax, it will come, the stress of wondering why it is late can make it even later.

    If this is the case, why are you scared?

    How old were you when you had your first period?

    Have you lost or gained any weight recently?

    Been sick?

    Any new medications?

    Stress?

    You see, there are many reasons, hundreds that I haven't even mentioned, that cause a late or missed period.
