what is going on?

i just recently got an e-mail from a friend of mine. not my boyfriend, but my boyfriend's friend. it basically said that he loved me, and if i wasn't with my boyfriend, he would ask me out. i love my boyfriend, and we are getting back on to good terms with eachother, but sometimes he does something or says something completely unreasonable, and then we're shaky. but it always seems to even out after a while. but other than that, i would say that things are getting better. so now i don't know what to do...i know this other guy would treat me right, probably better than my boyfriend is treating me now. but i just don't think i could date anybody else. what should i do?

In the words of Johnathan Kent from the TV series "Smallville",

"Stand back and look at all the options."

Do this, get two pieces of paper. On one of the papers, write your boyfriends name, on the other write your boyfriends friends name. Then on each of the papers, write down all the POSITIVE qualities each of them possess. After you can't think about anymore for either of them, take both papers and look at each and determine which one would make you happier.

Also, how long have you been going out with your boyfriend?

k i did the paper thing, and my boyfriend now definitely has more positive qualities, except for the fact that he doesn't seem to want to talk to me much. i like guys that are athletic, and my boyfriend's friend really only does taekwondo. my boyfriend does almost every sport imaginable, plays the piano beautifully, and is really good looking. i actually invited my boyfriend over tonight, because we are having a party, and we were about to have cake. he's like "no thanks, i have my own cake." i think that is actually really rude, but i just don't know what to do :S
