Could I be Pregnant

I don't know how to go about this. I am only 18 years old and I think I'm pregnant. I am taking the birth control pill and me and my boyfriend don't use condoms. I was supposed to have my period on the 3rd of this month but it never came. It was three days late when it came yesturday morning, but the thing is it disappeared throughout the day. I no longer have my period. My friend says that I should wait 6 weeks before I should take a test. But I don't know if I should believe her and take a test or wait the 6 weeks. My periods have been regular since I've been on the pill and this is the first time that this has happened. I don't know what I should do. Please someone help me.

6 weeks? No you can take one sooner than that...when did you last have sex? I would say wait another few days then test. If it comes out negative and you still do not get your period call your doctor and request a blood test.

You can take a pregnancie test 5days before or after your missed period, or something like that, you don't have to wait 6 weeks. If I were you, I would be getting in my car, on my way to the store to get one, and make sure of what's going on.

Understand the limitations of home pregnancy tests

A negative doesn't MEAN you are not pregnant, at least early on. It means that there are detectable levels of hormones indicating pregnancy. As hormone levels rise, tests that had shown a negative can become postitive. And then sometimes a negative is right.

If the test is positive, you are most likely pregnant... But again, when in doubt a blood test at a clinic is the best answer.

Like it or not, you are likely in for a waiting time before you really know the answer.

Birth control doesn't mean you can't be pregnant.

Well dats normal when you start on the pill but talk to your doc

You can get pregnant off of birth control. I did, I got pregnant off of tri cyclen Low

You can take it sooner than 6 weeks! They now have tests that you can take as early as 3 days BEFORE your missed period. Like the last person said if you get a negative result wait 2 or 3 more days, still nothing? Then have a blood test taken.Don't stress I was 17 when I had my daughter. It's not as bad as it seems.
