Aching lump - Head

Hey there, I would really like some help on a something here,
I have been getting very painful headaches for about the last two months, I thought it could be my eyes but I have recently discovered a large lump in the back of my head, it is hard and doesnt move, but when touched shooting pains run north and south of it.
I am booking in to see a doctor, but I am wondering if anyone could give me some ideas as to what it could be?
Thanks heaps
=] Tate
