Either one will work, call the doctor if it gets over 102.

Is your daughter showing any other symptoms?

Stiff neck, diarrhea, vomiting, convulsions, etc?

And how are you taking the temperature? Orally or underarm? If underarm temp goes above 102 - 103, you may want to seek a doctor.

Tylenol may help, bathing in lukewarm baths, and hydration is key.

It really doesn't "matter" but there is a difference in the range of the fever.

As long as you're under 102, let her rest, keep her hydrated, lukewarm bath, tylenol, etc. should help

Alternate Tylenol and Motrin. Give Tylenol, then two - three hours later Motrin. Continue this pattern.

If this continues for a total of 24 hours after you discovered it, it would be time to see your doctor.
