I have a quiz on some atom stuff tomorrow, and need to know how to Write full chemical symbol for each element/ion. For example if I have Na - Sodium how would I write that?

You could write it like you just did, or using colons:

Na: Sodium
Na - Sodium

And so on, as long as it's easy to understand what you mean.
