Sugar solubility in ethanol

Hi I'm Ika, I'm doing a research now.. but now I'm confused with the result,so I want to ask for your help .... How do you explain sugar solubility ? is it true that sugar is more soluble if we use ethanol as the solvent ? because I used ethanol and water as solvent and from the experiments, the sugar that's solubilized in ethanol are more than those that soluble in water. thank you
