Thats great that you've gotten into cheerleading! Ive been cheering since i was 5 years old and I currently cheer for West Virginia Univeristy.
The first thing i would recommend to you is to keep your motions tight and sharp. Its really an irritating and boring thing to work on, but it makes you look really good. If you aren't in gymnastics, get into it. Next, keep a smile on your face, or at least attempt to look happy,lol!.. Even when you are just at practice doing cheers in front of your coaches, they like to see a smile. It will also get you a nice spot on the sideline so you arent hid in the back

. I dont know if it is required for your program or not, but tumbling skills can be important when it comes to cheerleading. How old are you and what grade are you in? That would give me a better idea of what to tell you stunting/basing wise. If you have any specific questions on being a flyer or base let me know.. its more my passion.
